Daniel E. Jasen

Admitted in New York, 2005 – Mr. Jasen began his legal career as an Assistant Erie County District Attorney in the Buffalo City Court Bureau. During his time there he managed a large case load, handling all aspects of criminal matters from arraignment to final disposition or trial. Shortly thereafter he joined the family firm of Jasen & Jasen PC, founded by his grandfather, Hon. Matthew J. Jasen, Associate Judge New York State Court of Appeals – New York’s highest court. While there, he handled real estate transactions, DWI litigation and assisted in personal injury matters.
In 2007 Mr. Jasen joined the law firm of Gielowski, Federice & Caligiuri, LLP as an associate and now concentrates his practice solely on Workers’ Compensation claims. Throughout his career, Mr. Jasen has focused his practice on litigation. Mr. Jasen has taken many classes and seminars offered by the Erie County Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association on effective litigation strategies. Due to his experience and training, Mr. Jasen has become one the office’s chief litigators and routinely handles the more complicated cases involving WCL § 114-a, asbestos exposure and issues regarding claimant’s attachment to the labor market and entitlement to benefits.
